(6) Fixing and eject sections
The fixing and eject sections comprise the parts shown in the figure. When the paper for
which transfer has been completed is conveyed to the fixing section, it passes between the
press roller and the heat roller heated by the fixing heater (H). Between the heat roller and
the press roller, pressure is applied by the fixing pressure spring and the toner on the paper
passing between the rollers is thermally fused by the heat and press rollers to fix it to the
paper. The paper for which the fixing has been completed is separated from the heat roller
and the press roller by the heat roller claw and the press roller claw and ejected from the
fixing section by the eject pulley and the eject roller.
