(7-2) Adjusting the leading edge margin

Perform the following adjustment if the leading edge margin does not meet
specifications.
Caution: Before starting this adjustment, ensure (7-1) Adjusting the leading edge
registration on page 3-3-18 has been completed.
Procedure
Enter simulation mode.
Enter 54 with the numeric keys.
Press the print key.
Select the mode No. with the ex-
posure adjustment keys.
Press the interrupt key.
Place A3/11" × 17" paper on the
contact glass and keep the origi-
nal holder open. (see Fig 3-3-28)
Press the print key to make a test
copy with A3/11" × 17" paper.
Does leading edge A
meet specifications.? *

The current setting is displayed.
The copier enters ready mode.

* Mode 1: for copying at 100%
Mode 2: for enlargement copying (200%)
Press the print key.
The new setting is stored.
Change the setting with the zoom
key.

100% copying: 3 ± 2.5 mm
Enlargement copying: 6 ± 2.5 mm
