( 4 ) Detaching and refitting the scanner wires

Replace the scanner wires as follows.
* After replacing the scanner wires, proceed to ( 5 ) Adjusting longitudinal image
squareness (see page 3-3-49), ( 6 ) Adjusting focus (see page 3-3-51) and ( 2 )
Adjusting tension of the scanner drive belt. (see page 3-3-104)

(4-1) Detaching the scanner wires

Procedure
1. Remove the original holder.
2. Remove the upper right cover, upper left cover and then upper rear cover.
3. Remove the right cover, left cover and then rear cover.
4. Remove the contact glass and then the operation panel unit.
5. Remove the six screws and then the left reinforcement plate.
