Causes Check procedures/corrective measures
With CN5-30 on the MPCB held low, check if
the scanner fan motor 1 operates. If it does,
replace the MPCB.
Check for continuity across the coil. If none,
replace the scanner fan motor 2.
Check for continuity across the connector
terminals. If none, replace them.
With CN5-28 on the MPCB held low, check if
the scanner fan motor 2 operates. If it does,
replace the MPCB.
Check for continuity across the coil. If none,
replace the paper conveying fan motor.
Check for continuity across the connector
terminals. If none, replace them.
With CN3-1 on the MPCB held low, check if
the paper conveying fan motor operates. If it
does, replace the MPCB.
Check for continuity across the coil. If none,
replace the upper lift motor.
Check for continuity across the connector
terminals. If none, replace them.
Check if 24 V DC is output across CN17-11
(+) and CN17-10 (–) on the MPCB right after
the upper cassette is installed. If not, replace
the MPCB.
Check for continuity across the coil. If none,
replace the lower lift motor.
Check for continuity across the connector
terminals. If none, replace them.
Check if 24 V DC is output across CN18-11
(+) and CN18-10 (–) on the MPCB right after
the lower cassette is installed. If not, replace
the MPCB.
