MAINTENANCE
ENGINE OIL & FILTER CHANGE
Change the engine
oil
with the engine
warm and the
motorcycle on level
ground to assure
complete draining.
Engine oil should be changed at least every 6 races

or 15 hours of operation to ensure consistent
performance.
Support the motorcycle upright on a level surface.
Remove the oil filler cap/dipstick from the left crankcase
cover.
Place an oil pan under the engine to catch the engine

oil, then remove the engine oil drain bolt and sealing
washer.
Drain the engine oil.
Operate the kicksiarter pedal five times or more
while pressing the engine stop switch , so the engine
oil completely drains.
Oil filter change:
Remove the following:
- Bolts
Oil filter cover
- O-ring
- Oil filter
- Spring
DRAIN BOL TISEALING WASHER
SPRING
OIL FILTER BOLTS
Apply grease to the oil fiUer contact area of the oil filter

spring.
Install the oil filter spring into a new oil filter.
Install the oil filter with the "OUT-SIDE" mark facing out.
NOTE
Installing the oil filter backwards will result in severe
engine damage.
