CYLINDER HEADNALVES
DECOMPRESSORSYSTEM
DISASSEMBLY
Remove the camshaft (page 8-10).
Turn the decompressor weight outward as shown and
slide the camshaft bearing upward.
Push oullhe decompressor weight stopper pin using an
0 .0 . 2 mm pin.
Remove the decompressor weight spring and bearing.
INSPECTION/CLEANING
Check the decompressor weight for bends or damage.
Check the decompressor cam surface for wear or
damage.
Check the camshaft bearing for wear or damage.
Check the decompressor spring for fatigue.
Replace the damaged parts if necessary.
Clean the decompressor weight, bearing and spring.
STOPPER PIN

Blow the oil passage in the camshaft with compressed BEARING
SPRING WEIGHT
air.
