Monitor and Maintain Interfaces

Monitor interface statistics with the
the interface status (up/down), number of packets, traffic statistics, etc.
Command Syntax
monitor interface
The information displays in a continuous run, refreshing every 2 seconds by default as shown in the
example below. Use the following keys to manage the output.
m - Change mode
T - Increase refresh interval (by 1 second)
q - Quit

Purpose
View the interface's statistics. Enter the type of interface and
slot/port information:
For a 10/100/1000 Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
GigabitEthernet
For a Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
GigabitEthernet
For the Management interface on the RPM, enter the
keyword
information.
For a SONET interface, enter the keyword
followed by slot/port information.
For a 10 Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
TenGigabitEthernet
information.
For a 40-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
fortyGigE
c - Clear screen
a - Page down
t - Decrease refresh interval (by 1 second)
