User Configurable CAM Allocations
Allocate space for IPV4 ACLs and QoS regions, and IPv6 6 ACLs and QoS regions on the C-Series and
S-Series by using the
The CAM space is allotted in FP blocks. The total space allocated must equal 13 FP blocks. Note that there
are 16 FP blocks, but the System Flow requires 3 blocks that cannot be reallocated. The default CAM
Allocation settings are:
L3 ACL (ipv4acl): 6
L2 ACL(l2acl): 5
IPv6 L3 ACL (ipv6acl): 0
L3 QoS (ipv4qos): 1
L2 QoS (l2qos): 1
L2PT (l2pt): 1
MAC ACLs (ipmacacl): 2
ECFMACL (ecfmacl): 0
VMAN QoS (vman-qos): 0
VMAN Dual QoS (vman-dual-qos): 0
The following additional CAM Allocation settings are supported on the
FCoE ACL (fcoeacl): 0
ISCSI Opt ACL (iscsioptacl): 2
The
ipv6acl
allocations can use either even or odd numbered ranges.
Note: On the S4810, there can be only one odd number of Blocks in the CLI configuration; the other
Blocks must be in factors of 2. For example, a CLI configuration of 5+4+2+1+1 Blocks is not supported; a
configuration of 6+4+2+1 Blocks is supported.
You must save the new CAM settings to the startup-config (
