Impose the incoming bandwidth constraint on the MPLS edge router to classify the

incoming traffic.

Adopt CAR on the edge devices so that they can share the work of bandwidth

The MPLS core router accomplishes CoS management to implement Diff-serv

The egress device, like the ingress device, implements bandwidth restriction. The

bandwidth restriction implemented by the ingress and egress devices protects the

network from congestion and hence significantly improves the network scalability.
