Default Configuration
This command has no default configuration.
Command Mode
Interface Configuration (VLAN) mode.
User Guidelines
The primary IP address can be modified, but not deleted. The no form of the command is only
valid for the secondary IP address.
Example
The following example sets the virtual router IP address for VLAN 15.
console(config)#interface vlan 15
console(config-if-vlan15)#ip vrrp 5 ip 192.168.5.25
ip vrrp mode
Use the ip vrrp mode command in Interface Configuration mode to enable the virtual router
configured on an interface. Enabling the status field starts a virtual router. Use the no form of
the command to disable the virtual router.
Syntax
ip vrrp vr-id mode

no ip vrrp mode
vr-id — The virtual router identifier. (Range: 1-255)
