2-11 PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
CAUTION
Necessarily, confirm and clean the oil strainer � �
when replace the engine oil (specially, when first
replacement).
CAUTION
More frequent servicing may be performed on
vehicle that are used under severe conditions.
▣ ▣ OIL FILTER REPLACEMENT
● Drain the engine oil as described in the engine oil
replacement procedure.
● Replace the oil filter ①
● Add new engine oil and check the oil level as
described in the engine oil replacement proce-
dure.

CAUTION
When reassembling the oil filter, make sure that
the oil filter is installed.
If the filter is installed improperly, serious engine
damage may result.

Inspect the engine oil hoses for damage and oil leak-
age. If any damages are found, replace the engine oil
hoses with new ones.
