◉ ◉ BRAKE PAD REPLACEMENT
● Remove the front wheel. (Refer to page 7-8)
● Remove the brake caliper mounting bolts ①
brake pad mounting pins ② .
● Remove the brake pads.
CAUTION
� � Do not operate the brake lever during or after
brake pad removal.
� � Replace the brake pads as a set, otherwise
braking performance will be adversely affected.
● Install the new brake pads.
NOTE
� � Before installing the new pads, inspect the pad
mounting pins for wear. If excessive wear is
found, replace them with new ones.
� � The E-ring must be installed to the caliper.
● Tighten the brake pad mounting pins ③

Front brake pad mounting pin
: 18~28 N∙ ∙ m (1.8~2.8 kgf∙ ∙ m)
Brake caliper mounting bolt
: 18~28 N∙ ∙ m (1.8~2.8 kgf∙ ∙ m)
NOTE
After replacing the brake pads, pump the brake
lever several times to check for proper brake
operation and then check the brake fluid level.
