◉ ◉ MASTER CYLINDER REMOVAL
AND DISASSEMBLY
● Drain the brake fluid. (Refer to page 7-43)
● Place a rag underneath the brake hose union bolt
on the master cylinder to catch any split brake
fluid.
Remove the brake hose union bolt ①
nect the brake hose ② .
CAUTION
Immediately wipe off any brake fluid contacting
any part of the vehicle. The brake fluid reacts
chemically with paint, plastics, rubber materials,
etc., and will damage them severely.
● Remove the rear master cylinder pin ③ .
● Loosen the master cylinder rod lock nut ④ .
● Turn the adjuster ⑤ .
● Remove the master cylinder mounting bolt ⑥ .
● Remove the master cylinder by turning the master
cylinder rod ⑦ .
● Disconnect the reservoir tank hose ⑧ .
◉ ◉ MASTER CYLINDER INSPECTION

◉ ◉ PRESSURE CONTROL VALVE
REMOVAL
● Drain the brake fluid.
● Place a rag underneath the brake hose union bolt
on the pressure control valve to catch any split
brake fluid.
Remove the brake hose union bolts and discon-
nect the brake hoses.
◉ ◉ PRESSURE CONTROL VALVE
REASSEMBLY
Reassemble the pressure control valve in the reverse
order of removal.
