5 Removing and replacing components
Step 7 Disconnect the signal cable and power and configuration cables from the backplane.
Step 8 Pull the solid state drive backplane cage assembly out of the server.
Step 9 If you are instructed to return the solid state drive backplane cage assembly, follow all
packaging instructions, and use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.

Replacing the solid state drive backplane assembly
To install the replacement solid state drive backplane assembly, complete the following steps:
Step 1 Slide the assembly into the front of the server until it clicks into place.
Step 2 Reconnect the signal and power cable to the backplane.
Step 3 Slide the backplane cable assembly into the server.
Step 4 Reinstall the solid state drives.
