If there is a problem in communications, you may decide to perform a "loopback test A
loopback test is one where you connect (or jumper) the TXD (transmit) and RXD (receive)
lines together, and then press F1 to check communications. In effect, you are actually
"receiving" the communications data that you are transmitting. This test is useful when
verifying the accuracy of the transmit and receive hardware and wiring. Call Wintriss Tech
Support for instructions on running a loopback test. Be sure to supply the following
information when you call:
product name (e.g. SmartPAC 2 standard)
installed options (e.g. DiProPAC, ProCamPAC, etc.)
firmware version number (e.g. Vs. 2.00). You can determine the last two items, by going
into "Installed Options," page 209.
