SmartPAC 2 with WPC Integration

Test for One-hand Control Without "Light Curtain Break" Mode

1. Set Press Option Switch 3 to OPEN. This enables normal one-hand operation. Power
down, then power up SmartPAC 2 with WPC to enable the change.
2. Set the STROKE SELECT switch to OFF and set the MODE to ONE HAND. Set the
STROKE SELECT switch to SINGLE STROKE.
3. On the WPC control board, the "Continuous selector" LED should be off, the "Single
Stroke selector" LED should be on, and the "One-hand selector" LED should be on.
NOTICE
If the Interrupted Stroke message is flashing on the display, WPC has automatically changed
to Two-hand Maintained mode. You must depress and hold the run buttons to complete the
stroke and clear the Interrupted Stroke. (see "Interrupted Stroke," page 364). One-hand
Control will not work while the Interrupted Stroke message is on.
4. Momentarily depress the One-hand Control Switch. The press should make a single
stroke and stop at top dead center. At the WPC control board, notice that the "Palm
Switch N/C A" LED goes off and the "One-hand Control Switch N/O" LED comes on
when the One-hand Control Switch is depressed.
• If the press cycles correctly and the LEDs behave correctly, you have completed the
one-hand test. Go to the next appropriate test.
• If the press does not cycle correctly or the LEDs do not behave as described, check
your wiring and installation. Repeat the test. If the press and LEDs still do not
behave correctly, call Wintriss Tech Support.
