1.5 Setting Up the Management Environment

Introduce how to set up the management environment of S5600.
Prerequisite
For the iSCSI networking:

Procedure
Step 1 Connect the ASs, switches and maintenance terminal.
Step 2 Check that grounding cables are fixed to the cabinet after cables are connected.

NOTE
When installing the driver of the FC HBA, you need to choose the driver based on the FC HBA compatibility
list. After obtaining the information about the storage devices, OS, and system patch, you can determine
the driver version based on the FC HBA compatibility list.
CAUTION
The IP addresses of the two iSCSI host ports on the same controller must be configured in
different subnets. In addition, none of the IP addresses can be in the same network segment
as the IP address of the management network port.
The IP addresses of iSCSI host ports on the controller must be configured in a different
network segment from the IP address (192.168.2.0/24) of the controller heartbeat network
port. Otherwise, an IP conflict occurs in the network and services fail to run properly.
