3 Configuring the Storage System
3.10 Adding a Port
The host on the OSM3.0 interface cannot be mapped to an AS unless a port has been added to
it.
3.11 Enabling CHAP Authentication
The controller (with iSCSI host port) provides Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol
(CHAP) authentication. Enabling CHAP authentication can enhance the security when an AS
access a storage system.
3.12 Using CHAP Authentication on an AS
If the CHAP authentication is enabled on the OSM3.0 main interface, you need to use the CHAP
authentication on the AS, so that the AS can connect to the storage system. This section describes
how to enable CHAP authentication on a Windows AS and a Linux AS respectively.
3.13 Using a LUN on an AS
After a LUN is mapped to an AS, you need to configure the LUN on the AS. This section
describes how to use the LUN on a Windows AS and a Linux AS.
