3.11.3 Enabling CHAP Authentication

Enable CHAP authentication for an iSCSI port.
Prerequisite
Note the following when enabling CHAP authentication:

Procedure
Step 1 On the OSM3.0 main interface, click Mapping. Then, in the Mapping navigation tree, click
iSCSI port. The iSCSI port interface is displayed. See
the iSCSI ports is displayed in the interface.
Step 2 Select the iSCSI port whose CHAP authentication is Available. Click Set CHAP User. The
Added CHAP User interface is displayed. See
Step 3 Click Start CHAP Authentication. The Confirm dialog box is displayed.
Step 4 Confirm the settings and enter yes. Click OK. The system prompts "Operation
succeeds."

Before you set a CHAP user, please make sure that you have added a port to the host.
The CHAP user of the iSCSI port is added.
The CHAP authentication status of an iSCSI port must be Available.
