Step 4 Select free disks from the storage system as the member disks of a RAID 10 group.
Select at least 2 free disks. The total number of member disks should be an integer multiple of
the number of the disks in a mirroring group.
Step 5 Click OK. The Confirm dialog box is displayed.
Step 6 Click OK. The system prompts "Operation succeeds."

3.3 Creating a LUN

Creating a LUN in the storage system enables the AS to make full use of storage resources.

Step 1 On the OSM3.0 main interface, click Service and then expand the RAID Group node in the
Service navigation tree.
Step 2 Select a RAID group and click the name of the RAID group. An interface is displayed. See

After you select a disk type, the information about the free disks of this
type is displayed.
CAUTION
When LUNs are created, the number of LUNs on the same RAID group cannot exceed
1024. Otherwise, the operation to the storage system may be affected.
To create 1000 or more LUNs in the system, you are suggested to create LUNs and
configure services in batch. For example, you can create 200 LUNs, add mappings to the
host, and then create and configure other LUNs in batch.
