1 Process of the Initial Configuration

a: It is used when the S5600 and ASs form the FC SAN with FC switches.
b: It is used when the S5600 and ASs form the FC SAN with the direct connection.

d: It is used when the S5600 configured with FC and iSCSI host ports and ASs form the IP
SAN with Ethernet switches.
During power-on, do not insert or remove hard disks, controllers, expander modules, or optical
fibers and optical modules. Otherwise, data might be lost.
Step 3 Power on the cabinet, D200 disk subracks, S5600 controller subrack, switches, and ASs in turn.

The serial port on a controller is
connected to the RS-232 serial port on
the maintenance terminal by a serial
cable (with an RJ-45 connector at one
end and a DB-9 connector at the other
end).

When setting up the cluster environment, you need to set the power-on parameters of each device. For
details on the power-on sequence of the cluster, see the related product documents.
