4 Setting Additional Information
Procedure
Step 1 On the OSM3.0 main interface, click System. In the System navigation tree, click System
Information. The System Information interface is displayed. See
Step 2 Click Modify Name and Location. The Modify System Information interface is displayed.

Step 3 Enter the name and location of the system and then click OK. The Confirm dialog box is
displayed.
Step 4 Click OK. The system displays "Operation succeeds".

4.1.3 Switching Over Primary and Secondary Controllers

Introduce how to switch over primary and secondary controllers.
Context
The interval between two consecutive primary/secondary switchover operations is at least five
minutes.
When the storage system is configured with two controllers, the operations of system upgrade
and controller replacement relate to the primary and secondary status of the controllers. By

Name the system with commonly-used characters. Otherwise, the system fails to identify the characters
and displays them with ?.
NOTE
You can switch over the primary and secondary controllers only when the system is configured with two
controllers.
