trace6

Use this command to diagnose the actual path to some destination
in the user or privileged EXEC mode.
user EXEC and privileged EXEC
trace6 <ipv6-address>[max-ttl <1-254>| timeout <1-100>]

This command is disabled by default.
This command is supported after the platform version 4.6.02.
The trace6 command is used to send packets to the specified ad-
dress in the way TTL is increased from 1 (Three packets are sent
for each ttl) and wait for the response of each hop.
The output of the command can help users diagnose the actual
path to a destination.
This example shows the output of the trace6 command.

Destination address
Max-ttl means the maximum number of paths
that the packet goes through. It means the
length of the TTL field in the IPv6 packet,
range: 1~254
Time to wait for the response after an ICMP6
packet is sent out in seconds. A new probe
packet will be sent again if there is no
response received within the time
