The following list provides the network requirements for each configuration type:
Road Warrior (VoIP) configurations - A single network connection between the personal
computer and the Avaya communication server
Telecommuter configurations - One network connection and one telephone connection
(DCP or analog)
IP Telephone and Avaya Telephone-IP configurations - One network connection for the
personal computer and one network connection for the IP telephone
Avaya Telephone-DCP configurations - One network connection and one DCP
telephone connection (2400-series or 6400-series telephones)
Avaya CallMaster VI configurations - A Digital Communications Protocol (DCP)
connection to the Avaya communication server and a serial (RS-232) connection
between the personal computer and the Avaya CallMaster VI telephone
