configure pim timer <hello_interval> <jp_interval> [{vlan} <vlan_name> |
vlan all]
Description
Configures the global PIM timers on specified VLAN(s).
Syntax Description
hello_interval
jp_interval
vlan_name
all
Default
hello_interval—30 seconds.
jp_interval—60 seconds.
Usage Guidelines
These default timers should only be adjusted when excess PIM control packets are observed on the
interface.
Example
The following command configures the PIM timers on the VLAN accounting:
configure pim timer 150 300 vlan accounting

This command was first available in ExtremeWare XOS 10.1.

This command is available on all platforms.
ExtremeWare XOS 11.3 Command Reference
Specifies the amount of time before a hello message is sent out by the PIM
router. The range is 1 to 65,535 seconds.
Specifies the join/prune interval. The range is 1 to 65,535 seconds.
Specifies a VLAN name.
Specifies all VLANs.
