Configuration Guide
I. Configuring the asynchronous interface to work in flow mode

asynchronous interface view)
Enable/disable DSR/DTR signal detect
(in asynchronous interface view)
Set the flow control on the TTY interface
to none (in the user interface view of a
TTY user)
By default, the mode of the asynchronous interface is protocol, DSR/DTR signal detect
is enabled, and flow control is set to none.
Note that the asynchronous interfaces available with the 3Com Series Routers use
seven wires and allow DSR/DTR signal detect. You must configure the undo detect
dsr-dtr command on your router however, if the connected device, an NE router for
example, uses three-wire asynchronous interfaces, which do not transmit DSR/DTR
signals. This is to ensure that the serial interface can go up without detecting DSR/DTR
signals.
II. Enabling Telnet redirect
Execute the undo shell command in interface view and the redirect enable command
in user interface view.
