12.1 General troubleshooting
Possible causes
The cable of the display module is not plugged in
correctly.
Supply voltage does not match the voltage
specified on the nameplate.
Supply voltage has incorrect polarity.
No contact between connecting cables and
terminals.
• Terminals are not plugged into the I/O
electronics module correctly.

• I/O electronics module is defective.
•
Display is set too bright or too dark.
Display module is defective.
Diagnostic event with "Alarm" diagnostic
behavior has occurred.
Communication between the display module and
the electronics is interrupted.
Possible causes
Supply voltage does not match the voltage
specified on the nameplate.
Configuration error or device is operated outside
the application.

Hardware write protection is enabled.
PROFINET bus cable is incorrectly connected.
