With AC500/AC500-eCo processor modules, only the ABB programming cables
TK50x can be used. Other cables may cause communication faults and must
not be used.
Install the device driver for the programming cable (see
on page 1162).
Once you have installed the device driver of the cable in your Windows
system, make sure that you use always the same USB port of your com-
puter. Otherwise, Windows will ask you to install the driver a second time
if you connect the cable to a different USB port of your computer.
Plug the 9-pin D-sub male connector to the connector at the processor module and tighten
it there.
Plug the USB connector to an USB interface at your PC.
*) For planning and commissioning of new installations use modules in Active
status only.
