Replacing the Waste Cartridge
Printer waste contains partially cured polymeric material, collected during
normal operation and maintenance of the printer. For safety and environmental
reasons, this material is kept in a special leak-proof, disposable cartridge.
The cartridge has a capacity of about 2.7 kilograms of waste material—usually
enough for several months of printer use. The printer application displays a
warning message when there are 2 kilograms of material in the cartridge.
You can monitor the weight of the waste cartridge in the Materials screen of the
printer interface.
To replace the waste cartridge:
1. Remove the waste cartridge from the Waste bay and screw on the cartridge
2. Insert the new waste cartridge in the Waste bay.
Dispose of the full waste cartridge in accordance with environmental and
safety requirements.
