4. In the opening wizard screen, tap Start to begin.
5. Continue as follows:
6. Open the printer door, and tape a sheet of pink paper to the build tray.
7. Confirm that the pink paper is fixed to the tray, close the printer door and

❒ If you have recently cleaned the print heads, tap Continue with head
optimization.
❒ Otherwise, tap Run the Routine Cleaning wizard. The Routine
Cleaning wizard starts. Perform the wizard and clean the printer parts
(see "Routine Cleaning" on page 4-34).

When done, the Advanced Head Optimization wizard continues.
To determine the condition of the print heads, the printer prints a Pattern
Test.
