NOTICE
The defined comparison pattern affects both reference code comparators (module 81 – refer-
ence code comparator 1 and module 82 – reference code comparator 2).
ASCII characters that cannot be displayed (<0x20h) must not be used in the comparison pat-
tern.

Description
Specifies the type of the ref-
erence bar code.
Parameter string describing
the content of the reference
bar code.
Note: You can also use the
two placeholder characters
that are stored in the "Wild-
card character" and "Don't
care character" parameters.
If the string is empty, no
comparison takes place. If
the most recently stored
character is the wildcard
character, the comparison is
only carried out up to the
character before this wild-
card character. In this way it
is possible to switch off a
comparison according to bar
code length.
