Engine hood

WARNING
Rotating parts!
Shut off the engine before opening the engine hood.
Failure to comply could result in death or serious injury.

Falling object hazard!
Risk of injury from FALLING ENGINE HOOD. Latch the hood in the fully open position prior to working
within the engine compartment.
Failure to comply could result in death or serious injury.
WARNING
Unexpected machine movement!
Before you operate the machine, check that the engine hood is securely closed.
Failure to comply could result in death or serious injury.
Opening
Unlock the latches with the starter key.
Disengage the latches, grab the hood handle (1), and
raise the engine hood.
Follow the hood movement until the stay (2) will reach the
end of the guide. The engine hood is thus fixed in the
open position.
NOTICE: Do not open the engine hood during strong
wind. The wind pressure on the hood surface will gener-
ate an excessive pushing force. Failing to comply may
cause severe damage to the machine components, and
serious injury to the operator.
Closing
Stand ahead of the engine platform, then take a kneeled
posture grabbing the handle (3) with the left hand.
As shown in the picture, grab the hood handle (4) with the
right hand, and the stay (2) with the left hand. Raise a
little the engine hood, and lead the stay into the guide so
to unlock it. Move the left hand to grab the handle (3), and
take a standing posture. Grab the hood handle (1), and
close the engine hood.
Engage the latches firmly, and lock them with the starter
key.
