(19) Engine compartment

Always stop and cool down the engine before making any
maintenance operation in the engine compartment.
Do not step on the engine as this can cause serious dam-
ages to the engine components and serious injuries to the
operator.
When the engine is running, keep away from the engine
cooling fan, from the fan belt and from the other rotating
parts of the mechanical fan drive system. Rotating parts
can cause serious injuries.

proper precautions when working into the engine com-
partment.
