Cylinders
A cylinder rod should be slightly oily. Check that there
are no leaks after a period of work, when the whole
hydraulic system is at normal operating temperature.
1. Wipe clean the rod and bearing on the cylinder to
be cleaned.
2. Operate normally for 5 – 10 min.
3. Extend the cylinder rod.
4. Carry out the leak test.

Use a soft, slightly humid, cloth to clean the panels, the
consoles, and the switches. Use a soft, dry cloth to
clean the instrument cluster.
NOTICE: do not use gasoline, kerosene, paint solvents.
The use of gasoline, kerosene, paint solvents, etc. will
cause discoloration, cracks or deformation of the parts.
6 - MAINTENANCE
TEST
Slight traces of oil when a piece of paper is
wiped over 20 cm (7.9 in) of the rod.
Paper remains stuck to rod when run over rod.
Paper remains stuck when placed on rod.
Each time the cylinder rod is extended, a ring of
oil can be seen on the rod.
Each time the rod retracts, the excess oil drips
from the gland.
