Endotracheal suction
WARNING
Development of atelectasis
If the suction catheter used is too large, air
feed is blocked. The negative pressure
accompanying suction can cause atelectasis
to develop.
Select an appropriate suction catheter for
suction.
Closed suction
Closed suction is possible in all ventilation modes.
An appropriate flow must be set for suction.
 Set the appropriate flow with the
setting knob.
