If the sonar sensors cannot detect the sculpture from some directions, put protection poles
around the sculpture. If this is not acceptable for aesthetic reasons, the sculptures should be
treated as an island or a pseudo-island depending on their location.
Water
The treatment of water features such as ponds or pools requires special considerations. They
must be accommodated using islands or pseudo-islands depending on the conditions. See

Important: The water amplifies the electromagnetic signal. The robot is attracted
towards higher signal levels, which represents a major risk!
To avoid any incident next to water:
• Take an additional 1m reserve between the wire and the hazardous area.
• If the ground slopes down towards the water, or is slippery, or can become wet or flooded,
take additional appropriate reserve.
• If the required reserve distance is not available, install a barrier such as a row of protection
poles.

Remember: The charging station must be located at least 15m from the water's edge.
The figure below summarizes some critical factors associated with the placement of the
charging station and the peripheral wire around a water feature.
In the situation illustrated above, two possible locations for a charging station have been
shown. The robot should return to the station from the direction away from the water. So if
the charging station is located in point A, the robot must return to it in a clockwise direction. If
the charging station is located in point B, the robot must return to it from a counter-clockwise
direction.
Paths
Paths that cross the field to be mowed, should be level with the grass.
