Chapter 6 How Turfmow 1000 works
When the robot leaves the station it follows the station loop wire, until it reaches point A. This
is a pre-defined distance within the main field peripheral wire.
At this point it will turn and follow the track border of the field to be mowed until it reaches
point B, when it will turn into the field and start mowing. The distance traveled long the track
border and the angle at which the robot turns into the field are specified in the
parameters for the parcel to be mowed (Parcel M).
6.1.6.4 Multiple mowing fields with station loop
In this configuration there are multiple wires, each defining a parcel (area to be mowed), as
well as the station loop wire. No mowing takes place within the station loop; it is just used to
guide the robot into and out of the charging station.
Before leaving the station the robot must decide in which field (parcel) to start mowing. This
will depend on:
• The defined mowing schedule for each parcel.
If the schedule dictates that a specific parcel must be mowed at this time, the robot will
start mowing in that parcel.
• The percentage values assigned to each parcel.
If there are no schedule constraints, the robot will choose the parcel based on the
percentage values. Over a period of time the robot ensures that it starts in each parcel
according to the defined proportions.
The figure below illustrates the example of when the robot starts mowing in "Parcel R".
