When the 2mm gauge is in place, close the lid and press down gently to ensure that the
lid is touching the gauge.
At the end of the test, if the test failed, the problems are indicated through the following
messages:
• NO is stuck (open reed) - side + "reed 1S normally open of the body is stuck! Replace It."
The reed that is Normally Open (NO) on the indicated side must be
• NC not triggered (press reed) - side + "magnet must be lower. Add spacer.
The relay that is Normally Closed (NC) on the indicated side is not touching the magnet
when the lid is closed. The NC relay is the lower one. You need to add a spacer behind the
magnet on the indicated side and run the test again.
• NC too early (press reed) - side + "magnet must be higher. Remove spacer on it or add
spacer between body and reed relay
The relay that is Normally Closed (NC) on the indicated side is being activated too early
because the magnet is too low. The NC relay is the lower one. You need to either remove
any spacer behind the magnet, or adjust the position of the relay.
• NO not magnetized soon enough(open reed) - side + "magnet must be lower. Add spacer
between magnet and lid
Contact between the Normally Open (NO) relay on the indicated side is not being made
because the magnet is too high. The NO relay is the upper one. You need to add a spacer
between the magnet and the lid to lower it, and then run the test again.
• NO and NC not magnetized (dual error) - side + "add spacer under magnet or remove
spacer between body and reed relay.
Neither of the relays on the indicated side are making contact with the magnet. You need
to adjust the position of the magnet and/or the relays by adding or removing spacers.
• NC Is stuck (press reed) - side + "reed 4S (normally close) of the body is stuck or magnet
is lost/defective! Replace It.
Check if the magnet on the indicated side is broken or missing and
if necessary. If the magnet is OK,
• NO and NC reverse placement - side + "reed relays inverted? 4S (normally close)
smartbox side (DOWN) and 1S (normally open) cover state (UP).
The relays have been installed in the wrong order.
