The distance between an Aperio hub and any of its associated devices
must be between 10 feet and 45 feet in ideal conditions (that is, little to no
wireless interference); under less than ideal conditions, the maximum
distance should be reduced to 15 feet.

Aperio Door Controller System
The LED on the Aperio hub should point to the wireless devices it is going
to be paired with.
The Aperio hub should be placed on the same side as the key hole or card
reader of the wireless device. Thinner walls and shorter distances between
the hub and the device may permit placement on opposite sides.
Metallic sheet or mesh in the ceiling or walls weakens the wireless signal
between the hub and wireless devices.
