Explanation
The user cannot reset the system from a key switch zone.
Key Switch
A (latched) key switch can be connected to the alarm panel. A change to this zone changes the
(Latched)
status of the alarm panel from Enabled to Disarmed, or from Disarmed to Enabled (in accord-
ance with the programmed output mode).
Note
Do not assign more than one "Key switch duration" to a partition.
Note that the alarm panel is only operated via the key switch. When the status is not known, e.g.
when the key switch is closed but disabled on the control device at the same time, the alarm panel
may return to the "Set" status.
Note
So-called key switches can also be outputs for applications in access control and home automa-
tion.
Note
With the zone attribute "Part Set" = ON
A change to this zone changes the status of the alarm panel from Part Set to Disarmed, or from
Disarmed to Part Set (in accordance with the programmed output mode).
Note
The attributed "inverted" (only for wired zones) switches the behaviour of this zone.
Note
Implement cable tamper monitoring for wired zones of this type, particularly for access control and
home automation applications.
The user cannot reset the system from a key switch zone.
Key Box
This zone is mainly used in Scandinavia. If this zone is opened, this event is saved in the alarm
panel memory. It can also be transmitted via the telephone dialler at the same time. It does not trig-
ger an alarm.
If a zone of this type is required, the installer usually connects the alarm wires of this zone (usually
the auxiliary contacts of a door contact) to an external key box and the tamper wires to the tamper
switch of the housing.
If the housing is opened, the wireless alarm panel saves the event and reports it to the alarm re-
ception centre.
Tamper Acti-
This zone is used for tamper monitoring of external devices. Monitoring of this zone is permanently
vated
enabled. If the alarm panel is disarmed, only the internal siren is triggered. If the alarm panel is
armed, the external siren and strobe are triggered and communication is sent according to the con-
figuration.
Log only
If a "Log Only" zone is triggered (alarm or tampering), only a log book entry is created and an out-
put that follows this zone is triggered. The zone can be triggered when the alarm panel is armed or
disarmed.
"Log Only" zones can be assigned to multiple partitions and can have the "Chime" attribute.
Exit Terminate
This zone is used to cancel the exit delay for a partition with the "Exit Terminate" attribute. This
zone type is typically used for key switch (NO). Note: this zone is enabled during the exit time but
