Description
Manual  The currently online modem remains online regardless of any current or future
faults. Online and offline modems remain in this state until you Force the

switchover.
The redundancy switch chooses which modem is online based on fault conditions:
Auto
If the original online modem, Unit 'A' becomes faulted, then switch occurs to
the offline modem, Unit 'B' only if it is fault-free.
Operation can not revert back to the original online modem, Unit 'A, until it
clears its faults.
Switchover back to Unit 'A' occurs only if the new online Unit 'B' becomes
faulted and Unit 'A' is clear of any faults.
The conditional states for forced switchover are identified on this screen as
follows:
1:1 redundancy is Not Connected
This message indicates that the modem's rear panel J2 | REDUNDANCY
connector is not connected to a supported 1:1 redundancy switch such as the
CRS-170A or CRS-180.
This Unit is in Standby (1:1 only)
This message indicates that the modem is properly connected to a supported
1:1 redundancy switch but the modem is the backup. You can only "Force" a
switch to the backup by forcing the Online modem to go Offline. You can not
force the backup to go online.
Press ENTER key to force Unit into Standby (1:1 only)
This message indicates that the modem is connected to a 1:1 switch and the
modem is online. Press ENTER to force this modem offline and bring the
alternate modem online.
