Cabling Connection Types

The CDM‐750 Advanced  High‐Speed Trunking  Modem uses a number of  different  cables. Each 
cable type is typically dedicated to a specific mode of operation.  
 
Not all of these operational interface types may be available with this product.
3.1.1

Coaxial Cable Connections

Coupling Type 
Bayonet 
(Type 'BNC' shown) 
Threaded 
(Type 'N' shown) 
The types of coaxial cables used by Comtech EF Data are 'BNC', 'TNC', 'N', 'F', and 'SMA'. Coaxial 
cables (plugs) and  their mating  connectors (jacks/sockets) are available in  two coupling styles: 
Bayonet or Threaded.
