5. 50-Hour Engine Inspection for TEO-540-C1A Engines

A. The purpose of this inspection is to make sure that the engine operates correctly.
B. Complete the 50-Hour Engine Inspection after every 50 hours of engine operation or every 4
months (whichever occurs first).
C. Copy and complete the 50-hour Engine Inspection Checklist for TEO-540-C1A Engines as a
record of engine service. Record the engine hours.

MAKE SURE THE IGNITION SWITCH IS SET TO OFF AND THAT ALL
POWER TO THE ENGINE IS DISCONNECTED. ENSURE ALL
OBJECTS/PERSONNEL ARE CLEAR OF THE PROPELLER'S
ROTATIONAL ARC. IF POWER IS ON, A LOOSE OR BROKEN WIRE
CAN CAUSE THE ENGINE TO START AND THE PROPELLER TO
TURN WHICH CAN LEAD TO A PROPELLER STRIKE, SERIOUS
INJURY, OR DEATH.
