K. For the remainder of the engine-to-firewall wiring harness installation, refer to the "Engine
Installation" chapter and Appendix B in this manual for instructions to install the engine-to-
firewall harness.
L. Reset the EECS/ECU circuit breaker.
M. Complete the operational ground check in Chapter 72-00.

13. Airframe Interface Wiring Harness Removal

NOTICE: Refer to latest revision of the Aircraft Maintenance Manual for aircraft specific removal
and installation details.
A. Disconnect the battery.
B. Pull the circuit breaker to disconnect power to the EECS/ECU.
CAUTION
C. Refer to wiring diagram (T-11327-Y) in Appendix B of this manual. Disconnect the harness
plug A001-P1 from the ECU large (100-pin) receptacle identified as PRI.
D. Disconnect harness plug A001-P3 from the ECU small (37-pin) receptacle identified as PRI.
E. Disconnect harness plug A001-P2 from the ECU large (100-pin) receptacle identified as
SEC.
F. Disconnect harness plug A001-P4 from the ECU small (37-pin) receptacle identified as SEC.
G. Disconnect harness plug A002-P1 from the power box receptacle identified as PRI.
H. Disconnect harness plug A002-P2 from the power box receptacle identified as SEC.
I. Disconnect harness plug AF-P1 from the airframe interface wiring harness connector.
J. Disconnect harness plug AF-P2 from the airframe interface wiring harness connector.
K. On the engine side of the firewall, remove the safety wire and jam nuts from bulkhead
connectors FW1-J1, FW1-J2, FW2-J1, and FW2-J2.
CAUTION
L. Remove the harness from left and right side harness brackets. Allow the clamps to remain on
the harness.
M. If the harness is to be replaced with a new harness, identify the location of each clamp by a
label on the clamp.
N. Once the harness is disconnected from all attachments, remove the fuselage wiring harness
from the aircraft.

USE CAUTION AROUND THE WIRING HARNESS. THE WIRING
HARNESS CAN BE EASILY DAMAGED AND CANNOT BE REPAIRED.
IF ONE WIRE BREAKS ON THE WIRING HARNESS, THE COMPLETE
HARNESS WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED.
NO EECS PARTS OR HARNESS CAN BE INTERCHANGED BETWEEN
ENGINES UNLESS AGREED UPON BY LYCOMING ENGINES.
THE HARNESS HAS DIFFERENT DIAMETERS AT VARIOUS
LOCATIONS. CLAMPS ARE SIZED SPECIFICALLY FOR EACH AREA
ON THE HARNESS. IF THE HARNESS IS NOT TO BE REPLACED
WITH A NEW HARNESS, KEEP THE CLAMPS ON THE HARNESS TO
BE REMOVED.
