Host Port Parameters

Host Port Parameters
Important: This applies only to the 25-pin port and wiring box connections (not for 9-pin
port).
Note: See

host port parameters.
Baud Rate (Host Port)
Usage:
Can be used to transfer data faster or to match host port settings.
Definition:
The rate at which the scanner and host transfer data back and forth.
Serial Cmd:
<K100,baud
Default:
9600
Options:
0 = 600
3 = 4800
6 = 38.4K
Parity (Host Port)
Usage:
Only changed if necessary to match host setting.
Definition:
An error detection routine in which one data bit in each character is set to 1
or 0 so that the total number of 1 bits in the data field is even or odd.
Serial Cmd: <K100,baud rate,parity,stop bits,data bits>
Default:
Even
Options:
0 = None
Stop Bits (Host Port)
Usage:
Only changed if necessary to match host setting.
Definition:
One or two bits added to the end of each character to indicate the end of the
character.
Serial Cmd: <K100,baud
Default:
One
Options:
0 = One
Data Bits (Host Port)
Usage:
Only changed if necessary to match host setting.
Definition:
Number of bits in each character.
Serial Cmd: <K100,baud rate,parity,stop
Default:
Seven
Options:
0 = Seven
3-4

1 = 1200
4 = 9600
7 = 57.6K
1 = Even
