7) Installation of Pulley and Timing Belt
1.
Install cam shaft pulley, bring "
pulley 1 to " " mark of cylinder head, and then, tighten bolt
2 to specified torque.
No.1 piston is to be at top dead center of
compression stroke.
Cam Shaft Pulley Bolt 2 :
11 N·m ( 8 lb·ft ) [ 1.1 kgf·m ]
Do not turn timing pulley or cam shaft
pulley with timing belt removed. Doing so
can make pistons and valves interfere with
each other, resulting in damages to these
parts.
Install key 3, timing pulley 4, belt guide 5, lock washer 6
2.
and nut 7 in this order. Tightening to specified torque is
performed later.
Check that " " mark c of belt guide 8 and " " mark d of
3.
cylinder block are aligned with each other.
