1. Mounting the outboard
motor on boat

To avoid personal injury or damage of equip-
ment, make sure the allowable lifting capac-
ity of the hoist is at least twice the weight of
the outboard motor.
Do not allow the lift hook or chain from the
hoist to come in contact with any part of the
outbord motor during lifting.

Mounting the outboard motor without
following this manual can lead to unsafe
conditions such as poor maneuverability,
lack of control or fire.
Loose clamp screws and/or mounting
hardware can lead to the release or dis-
placement of the outboard motor, possi-
bly resulting in loss of control and/or
serious personal injury. Check the fasten-
ers for tightness before operating your
outboard.
Be sure to use outboard mounting hard-
ware that meet in terms of size, material,
quality and strength.
