show port duplex
Use this command to display the default duplex setting (half or full) for one or more ports.
Syntax
show port duplex [port-string]
Parameters
port‐string
Defaults
If port‐string is not specified, default duplex settings for all ports will be displayed.
Mode
Switch command, read‐only.
Example
This example shows how to display the default duplex setting for Gigabit Ethernet port 14 in
slot 3:
B3(su)->show port duplex ge.3.14
default duplex mode is full on port ge.3.14.

set port duplex

Use this command to set the default duplex type for one or more ports. This command will only
take effect on ports that have auto‐negotiation disabled.
Syntax
set port duplex port-string {full | half}
Parameters
port‐string
full | half
Defaults
None.
Mode
Switch command, read‐write.
Example
This example shows how to set ge.1.17 to full duplex:
B3(su)->set port duplex ge.1.17 full
