HWTACACS configuration example

Network requirements

As shown in
requirements:
•
Use the HWTACACS server to provide authentication, authorization, and accounting services
for the user on the host.
•
Use the shared key expert for secure authentication, authorization, and accounting
communication with the HWTACACS server.
•
Remove the domain name from a username sent to the HWTACACS server.

Configuring the HPE NJ5000 5G PoE+ switch

Create the HWTACACS scheme system:

a. From the navigation tree, select Authentication > HWTACACS.
The page for adding an HWTACACS scheme appears, as shown in

If you leave this field blank, the default unit is used.
Specify the measurement unit for data packets sent to the HWTACACS server
for traffic accounting. Options include:
•
One-packet (default).
•
Kilo-packet.
•
Mega-packet.
•
Giga-packet.
If you leave this field blank, the default unit is used.
