Washing the Ink Discharge Passage

Wash the ink discharge passage regularly(about once a
week) to prevent the head nozzles from clogging due to
ink coagulation inside the passage.
• Before washing the ink discharge passage, make
sure that the maintenance washing liquid is set. If
the maintenance washing liquid is not set, washing
operation will not be conducted and the passage
could be clogged.

• MAINTENANCE MENU will be displayed.

• If the cleaning solution cartridge is usable,
maintenance solution is automatically filled.
• If the front cover is not closed, the cleaning
solution will not be automatically filled. If the front
cover is open, be sure to close it.
• If the cleaning cartridge is not valid, the cleaning
solution will not be automatically filled to the cap.
Open the front cover and use a dropper to fill the
maintenance cleaning solution in the cap to just
before it overflows.
Once the cleaning solution is full, begin from Step 7.

Chapter 4 Maintenance
If a END message is displayed, open the

front cover and check the amount of
cleaning solution in the cap.
• If the solution does not fill up the cap, use a
dropper to fill the maintenance cleaning solution in
the cap to just before it overflows.
Close the front cover, and press the
